SC Angus Seniors and Juniors Unite for Show and Field Day on June 5th
"Let's have a field day!" said the SC Angus officers at their last meeting. The Junior Angus show on June 5th at Clemson's T.Ed Garrison Arena will also be Field Day for the adults. Coming together for both should make a fun day for all.
Ted Bartee has secured Dr. Fred Rayfield from Adel, GA. as a judge for the juniors. Showmanship classes will be first at 9 a.m. while the cattle are fresh, followed by the bulls, cow/calf pairs, and heifers. A delicious buffet lunch will satisfy hunger pains around noon. Juniors will meet later.
During the show, lunch and afterwards the SC Angus Association will have Field Day. The newly elected AAA Director, Joe Hampton from NC and Dr. Rayfield will share some tales with us about Angus.

Mike and Jean Johnson honored at the Carolina Angus Futurity, March 19. Paul Wilkie presented a bull trophy to them after his speech at the Annual Banquet.
On March 20 the thirty-seven Angus female lots brought a total of $74,800 which produced an average of $2,022 per lot.
Thanks to Stephanie Clarks idea of a silent auction at the Futurity, the Juniors profited. The fund raising brought in more than $3,000. Thank you to Stephanie and all those who contributed to the success and fun.
